We have just finished testing and implementation of an exciting new Instant Messaging feature for the site.  Now when you use Browse or Search features on the site you will be able IM directly to online and offline members.  Simple select Browse or Search and hover your mouse over the member's thumbnail photo - an information icon should appear on the top left hand side which you can click.  Once you have clicked this, an information box will open where you will be able to send a message instantly.  If the member is online they will receive the message instantly and if they are offline, the message will be waiting for them the next time they log in.
